Our mission is to provide a rejuvenating family experience for 623 Military families in 2012 through our Military Getaway package. In 2011, we provided Military Getaway Packages to 565 military families. The YMCA of the Rockies is committed to serving 10% more military families in 2012, giving us a total of 623 families we want to provide with time for family bonding and rejuvenation.
The Military Getaway Package is used by families that are facing deployment or reconnecting after returning home from active duty. Whatever their situation may be, the YMCA of the Rockies is committed to being a place where families can create life-long memories.
Donations to Mission 623, through the Annual Campaign, will go toward providing financial assistance to military families. By giving to Mission 623 you are supporting servicemen and women by recognizing the importance of providing meaningful experiences to military families.

The Fine Print:
From the Middle East to the YMCA of the Rockies
Michelle, her husband, and their children visited the YMCA of the Rockies last year for the first time through the Military Getaway package.
They were committed to spending time together after her husband, in active duty, returned from Qatar.
"My husband took my 9 year old son to archery while my 17 year old daughter and I went horseback riding, they loved it. We haven't really had the money to do those fun extra things with them since my husband went active duty. I know they appreciated it. We had the opportunity of cheering each other on at the zip line during the day while my husband and I could enjoy our own time on the porch in the evening. We needed to get away from the stress, as well as find a place where we could reconnect as a family."
